🧪 React Migration
Contents of the release
-
Our new binaries are in Java 11, since this is the minimum for Confluence 8.5 and Jira 9.12 (see the Traceability matrix),
-
Rewritten our screens in React: The search, traceability, reports, and the other space tabs. No administration or space-administration screens were modified,
-
This was an opportunity to notice a few features which weren’t working recently, which work in the new UI:
-
The autocomplete in the search was restored in the new UI,
-
A few details / custom fields (the Xray Requirement Status, …) in the traceability matrix.
-
-
We feel like the UI is much faster. Tell us if you like it!
-
In 4.2.12, a new feature was added to update Jira links in bulk.

Risk assessment
-
In 4.2.0, we’ve rewritten certains tabs in React (The search, the traceability matrix, the reports tab, the Excel tab, etc. - We didn’t modify the administration screens). There can be several risks for the first customers to upgrade:
-
We’ve reproduced all features. We may have missed some. Please reach out to our support if we missed anything!
-
We’ve changed all URLs. If users are redirected to the old UI, we’ve kept the old screens available and there is a “Old UI” label at the top-right. So, users will still benefit from a working screen, but by default they will be using the new ones.
-
If you notice old URLs / features which are missing from the UI, please report them to us!
-
No upgrade path from 2.x to 4.x.
-
Don’t forget to check out the announcement in Release 4.0 – Requirement types related to upgrading.
-
As a summary, please upgrade to the most recent 3.x version and wait for all ugprade tasks before using 4.x.
