Dedicated Cloud gives your organization its own Requirement Yogi environment: a dedicated database, a dedicated VPC and encryption with your own KMS key (BYOK). It works for Requirement Yogi for Confluence and Requirement Yogi for Jira, on Commercial Cloud and on Atlassian Isolated Cloud (AIC). It costs a fixed monthly fee on top of the Marketplace price of the apps.
How it works
Your apps keep running in your Atlassian site, but their Forge Remote base URL points to a Requirement Yogi environment dedicated to you. It runs in a separate AWS account, in the region you choose, and everything it stores is encrypted with a KMS key from your own AWS account.
One environment can serve both apps and several Atlassian sites.
Where your app data is stored
In a dedicated environment, your app data is kept apart from other customers' data:
-
Region: it is stored in the AWS region you choose. Atlassian's app data residency settings don't apply to a dedicated environment.
-
Encryption: it is encrypted at rest and in transit. Everything the environment stores is encrypted with your KMS key: the database, backups, files and logs.
-
Tenancy: it is stored in a separate AWS account, with a dedicated database and a dedicated VPC, used only for your organization.
-
Backups: the database has automated backups covering the last 30 days, used for disaster recovery only.
Warning: if you revoke Requirement Yogi's access to your KMS key, or delete the key, we can no longer read any data in your environment, including backups and logs. The apps stop working until access is restored. A deleted key means the data is lost for good, so treat the key with the same care as the data itself.
Pricing
Dedicated Cloud costs 1740€ per month per dedicated environment, on top of the Marketplace price of the apps. One environment, and so one fee, covers both apps and as many Atlassian sites as you connect to it.
You keep paying for the apps through the Atlassian Marketplace. We invoice the Dedicated Cloud fee separately, to the billing contact you give in your request.
Set up
-
Raise a ticket on our support portal. We will ask for:
-
the AWS region you want to use,
-
the base URLs of your Atlassian sites,
-
the Atlassian apps you want to use (Confluence, Jira, or both),
-
whether you want to bring your own KMS encryption key (BYOK),
-
the admin contact,
-
the billing contact.
-
-
If you want to bring your own KMS key, we’ll provide a CloudFormation template and/or a Terraform template to create the KMS key with the correct permissions.
-
We set up your environment within a few days and send you the base URLs to use.
-
In your Atlassian site administration, open each Requirement Yogi app and replace its Forge Remote base URLs with the provided ones.
If you already use the apps on the shared environment, say so in your ticket, so we can discuss how to handle your existing app data. We recommend requesting Dedicated Cloud before your users start working with the apps, so there is no data to move.
Limitations
Requirement Yogi operates the environment for you: we deploy, monitor and maintain it, as we do for the shared environment.
For this reason, for now, Dedicated Cloud doesn't include:
-
Access to the database or the logs,
-
Control over deployments and updates,
-
VPN or private networking,
-
SIEM integration,
-
Backups or restores that you trigger yourself. We plan to support these later from the administration pages of the apps.
Cancellation
Our terms will specify flexible conditions for cancellation on your side, along with provisions in case of non-payment. After a notice period, we delete your dedicated environment and all its data. To initiate a cancellation, please contact us through the support portal.
